Title III is a federal program run by the Department of Education (DOE) Office of Postsecondary Education, Strengthening Institutions Program. The Buffalo State application, Insight to Impact: Increasing Student Achievement, Retention and Degree Attainment, is for $2.19 million over five years. Year one began in October 2018.

What are the goals for Title III at Buffalo State?
Title III is intended to increase student achievement, retention, and graduation rates by coordinating and strengthening 1.) student services and 2.) academic services.
What is the timeline of events at Buffalo State?
Using a four-step process of design, pilot, refine, and implement, Title III will implement improvements to student services and academic services by increasing the scale of activities from year to year. By year five, all new students will take part in orientation/first-year activities. Similarly, academic services will expand in capacity to better serve all students.
Is there extra money for my projects?
The grant does not contain additional money for activities not included in the original proposal.
